OUR PRACTITIONER TEAM

Miracle of Health therapist Gail Shafer in a horse barn with her horse and dog

Gail Shafer, Physical Therapist

Gail's most recent passion is hippotherapy (using the movement of horses to help patients reach their therapy goals) for which she attended training through the American Hippotherapy Association in 2022. She is currently reconditioning her adopted horse Steady and training her Belgian Malinois shepherd Isabella to work with him. She hopes they will be ready to offer hippotherapy to specific patients who can benefit most from that modality in 2024. Her love of horses was a gift from her mother who made it possible for them to care for and benefit from interacting with horses throughout her childhood.

"Gail and the physical therapists she hires care about their patients. They worry about you. They want you to get better. They think about you. They come up with multiple ways of approaching your problem. People are smiling when you come in. You are smiling when you go out. MOH is a kind way to get physical therapy."
